Why should my wedding be filmed?
After all the planning and arrangements you have made over the past months, your day will pass so quickly and it is so nice to look back to your wedding day at leisure with your family and friends and relive all those special moments, and even see things that you missed on the day itself!

Will the camera person be in our faces all day?
Not at all – with modern cameras & lens we don’t need to be close to you at all. So if some of your family are shy of cameras they need not worry and can enjoy their day .

Why should I book Abbey Video Productions for my Wedding?
We have years of experience, so I think that speaks for itself! We are not one of these video companies that have the old “award-winning videographer” plastered on our site – each wedding we do is award-winning to the bride and groom, and they are the people that matter most to us.

Will my DVD have interactive menus and play buttons?
Yes all our DVDs have all of the above, for your convenience and enjoyment.

What about those bright lights?
Because we strive to be as unobtrusive as possible at a wedding we do not use lights in the church and only minimal lighting, if needed, during the dancing. In fact, couples are often surprised when they see their wedding video and realize that we were still there recording and they thought we had gone!

How many cameras do you use?
We only use one camera, but we always carry a back up! Why use only one I hear you say? Generally, an experienced videographer knows when and where to be, so adequate coverage can be achieved with one camera.? Ask for one of our demo DVDs and see for yourself.

The BIG Question do you charge extra for travel?
Simple. NO

Old photographs at the start of my DVD? Do you charge for this?
No, for you it’s free! ( but we must?receve them?them 2 weeks before your wedding)

I dont want my wedding on “you tube” do you do this ?

NO, We never use “you tube” we think its too tacky, its ok for home movies but not for wedding films, we have our own dedicated web hosting server for your wedding should you need it on the web.

Do you set up shots on the day?
We never set up shots unless asked to by the Bride and Groom. We think it looks too staged. We film exactly what happens on the day to make your DVD as natural as possible.

Will my finished DVD have computer generated titles?
Yes it will, but it is important for us to have received your title forms & music request forms that we would have sent out to you at booking confirmation, or you would have downloaded from our website at least two weeks before your wedding date.

We have just viewed your samples on your site, but can I request a full wedding DVD to view at home?
Of course you can! We encourage people to do this as it is difficult to make a decision on a computer screen. ?Just let us know your name and address and one will be in the post to you straight away.

Do you work well with the photographer?
Yes, over the years we have met many of the professional Irish wedding photographers and we all get on great, and also recommend each other when needed. The old rule is always there, “the photographer can be in your wedding video, but the video man must never appear in your photographs”.

Do you film in wide screen?
Yes we do, we pride in staying up-to-date.? We use the latest Sony broadcast high definition cameras with true 16.9 (wide screen) to ensure that you will be enjoying the highest quality picture.? These are hand held cameras, to help us to be even more unobtrusive on the day.

How Many DVDs will I receive?
You will receive 3 commemoratively boxed?DVDs and you will get an extra DVD to pass around to friends and colleagues so you can hold on to your own copies.

We don’t like the thought of having to be “wired up” with microphones etc ?
We use a professional approach with our audio on the day, we never ask to “wire up” anyone, we think this is so obtrusive, with our system we can capture your audio without you knowing it, we dont turn you wedding into “big brother house” !

Do you stay and film the disco?
Ah Now !!!
